About this investigation

This page documents my quest to find out the story of this company and the individuals behind it. They created a high quality motorcycle accessory and failed three times, in part due to poor customer service. I paid them 09/11/09 for a unit and still have not received it. They no longer answer calls or emails.

  • 02/11/2010 - No response from Colliers, emailed again
  • 02/10/2010 - Haven't heard back, emailed again
  • 02/02/2010 - Received a response from Kevin Demers - Health problems and an ill-timed move blamed for lack of communication
  • 02/02/2010 - Road Rocketeer website is back up
  • 01/22/2010 - Sent initial email to Colliers re: Road Rocketeer's lease at 3318 Oak Street
  • 01/22/2010 - Contacted by a customer who has issues with the product and can't get a hold of Road Rocketeer

  • John Valk is listed as a dealer on the Road Rocketeer website but no one at the company had heard of the company or the product

Website is now defunct (though I made a mirror with `wget`).

Active from August 2008 to roughly September 2009 (when they stopped answering calls and emails).

First products were added to the store website on September 24, 2008. Last products added on March 17, 2009.

Order #84 (mine) happened after products had been available for 353 days, hence an order (on average) every 4.2 days.
