[edit] Idea 1
During guitar solo, playing a guitar with an attached cheetah head: half of screen fades in cartoony overlay of fretboard with each note played lit up on the fretboard as a pulsating musical note; towards end of solo "Irrational Exuberance!!!" flashes in Japanese and lightning shoots out of the Cheetah's mouth a la the Darkness video for Thing Called Love to annihilate whatever relevant antagonist Geste is fighting.
[edit] Names
Change second half of name for each show.
Some examples:
- Beau Geste & the Gestations -- the original formula.
- Beau Geste and his Plywood Quartet
- Beau Geste & the Storm Troopers
- Beau Geste & the United Gestates of America
[edit] Todo
- Years of writing and practice
- Research electricals
- How do expression pedals work? MIDI expression pedals?
[edit] Ideas
- A song made up on the spot for each performance, using a subject suggested by the audience
- Guitar that rotates about the center of the body
- Might require wireless?
- Special strap that clips on?
- Electricals and data for stage effects driven as simply as possible, use guitar cord for wiring so there's always plenty of extra
- Control stage effects via expression pedals?
- Faderfox makes ridiculously cool MIDI controllers
- Guitar with hollowed cavity containing light that flashes to illuminate a cover piece with the word "ROCK" cut through
[edit] Setup and breakdown
- Bandmates on casters?
- Research woods
- Light wood that can take abuse; or perhaps balsa with laminate or painted aluminum cover?
[edit] Different bandmates for each performance
These would be plywood cutouts with light-up eyes and multiple arms that get lit up in sequence to mimic playing an instrument or generally rocking out.
One or two covers from one of the bandmates would be performed per show depending on length.

[edit] Guitarists

[edit] Bassists

[edit] Important concepts
[edit] À la Joe Scovel
Let rock and roll/ control your soul
Basically an extension of Yusef Lateef's autophysiopsychic music; music which comes from your physical and mental self.
[edit] À la Keir Moreano
- "Swim like the shark, strike like the cheetah."
- The Fox Factor
- "Who's the gingerbread man now, motherfucker?"
- Insistence that a guitar solo broadcast simultaneously on all TV channels at the right moment could save the world.
[edit] The Bill and Ted Hypothesis
Rock and roll has the power to save the world and should be used and performed with this in mind.
Must incorporate Wyld Stallyns references--Beau Geste and the Wyld Stallyns?
